Beloved Church Family:
We have been praying, seeking guidance and wisdom from our overseers, and listening intently to the voice of the Holy Spirit regarding the current situation in our city and nation. We do not operate out of fear, nor do we capitulate into panic, but continue to find our strength and hope and JOY in the One True God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
He is not asleep in heaven. He is not wringing His hands or having anxious thoughts. He is the Prince of Peace and the Peace Speaker. He commands the wind and the waves to obey and at one word, they are stilled. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.
We ask that you exercise diligence and prudence in hand-washing, and limiting your exposure to others, especially those with compromised immune systems, the elderly, and those who have existing medical conditions.
At this time, we are choosing to have a Sunday service that is primarily livestreamed so that everyone can stay in touch with FOTN leadership and continue to worship and hear the Word of God preached. We will be praying for you all during the service. If you choose to come, be mindful of not bringing your little ones, as there will be NO children’s ministries this Sunday (neither Kid Nation or Baby Nation). Spanish Nation will also follow these same guidelines. We want to gather with you, but our President has recommended that we refrain from this for the next 15 days. Please watch attached video for details.
There will be no 9am classes. Nations Bible Institute will also not be held until further notice. The office phones have been forwarded so that you may stay in touch with leadership if you have specific needs.
Whether you choose to be physically present or not, remember that “Every member is a minister, and every minister has a ministry!” Continue to be faithful in your tithes during this financially-challenging time, as the work of the ministry goes on regardless of attendance. God will bless you as you obey even in the leanness of your situation. We are here to assist in any way we can.
Pastor Johnny will be giving a Facebook live message later in the week and we will make you aware of that before it happens so you can watch and invite others to as well.
We believe God is in control! We know He is at work all around us. Be kind to everyone you meet. Pray without ceasing. Look for opportunities to bless others and assist those who are weak and need extra help.
We love you and are praying for you all!
God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—
more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
